JMB Richards Beginning the Bard: An Introduction to Shakespeare Sep 2024

Description
The last few years have demonstrated, more than ever, that we live in a turbulent world. It is an ever-changing world, a world in which it can sometimes be difficult to find stillness. How might we navigate such a world? One answer, maybe even surprisingly, is through poetry. Poetry can offer us solace. It can help us to understand how we feel, connecting us across time and space to others who have felt the same. During this course we will not only explore how to approach and think about poetry, but also hopefully find answers to what it might mean to belong to a turbulent world.
